Fort Selkirk Historic Site Management Plan Questionnaire

The Fort Selkirk Historic Site is a 50-hectare site that is located on the terrace of the Yukon River near the mouth of the Pelly River, east of Pelly Crossing.

The Government of Yukon, Department of Tourism and Culture (YG) and the Selkirk First Nation (SFN) are preparing the update to the Fort Selkirk Historic Site Management Plan (2000).

The Fort Selkirk Historic Site is co-owned and co-management by YG and SFN and was designated as Yukon Historic Site under the Historic Resources Act in August, 2010.

This questionnaire is at https://www.jitsulab.com/699/0015/ and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and is intended to collect your ideas about the future of Fort Selkirk and your thoughts about:

  • The importance of Fort Selkirk and its physical features
  • Aspects of its history and present use that are important to you
  • What you would like to see for Fort Selkirk’s future
